About my Start-up
Building the next-generation agricultural spraying technology.
Why your idea is a “winner"?:
1. We have the 10x factor on productivity.
2. Using our technology will save tangible costs to farmers.
3. Using our technology will greatly reduce our overall carbon emissions.
4. And last but not least, our technology will support farmers to produce more food.
What is your current or intended business/revenue model?:
In case the technology is not acquired before, then hardware sales.
Do you have any Patent or IP registered (related to the solution that you are looking for an investment)?:
Yes, pending.
Has your technology already been implemented in any field/sector?:
No, we are in pre-seed stage.
Which market and customer need(s)/problem(s) is (are) your products(s)/service(s) going to solve?:
Reports by the Food and Agricultural Organization and several studies revealed that agriculture in the 21st century faces multiple challenges:
- it has to produce more food to feed a growing population with a smaller rural labor force,
- it has to adopt more sustainable production methods and adapt to climate change.
In fact, studies show that we need to double our food production by 2050 and we are falling behind in achieving this goal.
Many factors amplify these problem such as:
- Regional political instabilities that have an impact on production, but also on international supply chains and food distribution,
- and increasing energy prices.
We believe the most important questions in global agriculture today are:
- How can we produce more food (so we can feed everyone in 2050)?
- How can we do it in a sustainable way?
- And how can we do it with fewer resources?
AgroWings is our best answer to these questions. We are on a journey to build an agricultural spraying technology that:
- is 10 times more efficient compared to current technologies,
- increases food production,
- and reduce carbon emissions by almost 2/3 of what we use today for spraying.
The core concept and innovation is to expand the spraying lane width tenfold by replacing the mechanical booms on spraying vehicles to spraying bars that fly over the land thanks to lifting rotors.
The wider coverage and our technology innovation have several important benefits:
- Reducing trampling loss to almost 0, which potentially means 2-5% increase in yields,
- Decreasing labour force and time for spraying by a factor of 10,
- Enabling spraying during times when otherwise it is not possible, which could potentially add another 4% to yearly gains,
- Better pesticide and herbicide drift control,
- Saving fuel by around 60% ,
- and the capability of enhanced AI integration.
