Alcheme Bio

About my Start-up

Alcheme Bio is pioneering Cellular Flavoring, ensuring cultivated and precision fermented foods are Delicious at drastically lower costs than today’s approaches. It’s a $250BN untapped market, sitting at the intersection of analytics and flavoring.
Alcheme Bio is the pioneer of Cellular Flavoring™, making sustainable foods Delicious by Design™ through Ai-driven compositional analysis and bioengineering.
For sustainable foods to succeed, they must taste great. Alcheme Bio maps the connection between cultured media formulations, food composition and flavor, then bioengineers media supplements / feedstocks that catalyze cells to express their own flavor – just like in the wild.
Clean label, cost efficient and precise, it’s the future of flavor.

Some of our traction since founding in Jan 2023:
3 LOIs for $300k 2024 revenue
2 pilots underway with cultivated meat companies
7 advanced discussions with cultivated food companies
MVP database and algorithm
3 provisional patents submitted

Why your idea is a “winner"?:

We are the only company to develop the knowledge (and patentable products built off that knowledge) to provide this mode of flavoring. We will be acquired by a large flavor house who want to accelerate their entry into the cultivated foods space as it hits larger scale.

What is your current or intended business/revenue model?:

Sales of media supplements, that scale with the increased production of the food, is our primary revenue model. We anticipated these supplements costing anywhere from 2-4% of the RRP (and total market)
To get access to sell these Flavor media supplements, we provide flavor analytics products and services which are $100-500k/year depending on the size of the company.

Do you have any Patent or IP registered (related to the solution that you are looking for an investment)?:

3 patents provisional; compositional analytics extraction, process and media supplement formulations.

Has your technology already been implemented in any field/sector?:

We are undergoing two pilots with cultivated fish fat and beef companies.

Which market and customer need(s)/problem(s) is (are) your products(s)/service(s) going to solve?:

Cultivated and precision fermented foods; analytics and flavoring. $250BN TAM.
When foods come out straight from the bioreactor, they don't taste like the traditionally grown product. Today, companies are solving this through additive flavoring; which adds ingredients to the label, is expensive and doesn't actually work. It can't replicate the robust flavors we associate with steak and salmon.
Cellular Flavoring adjusts media in order to influence cells to express their own flavor; it's clean label, non-GMO and actually works! It's how nature flavors so is how we can replicate robust flavors.
Our products allow companies to measure flavor early in the production cycle and then add our bioengineered media supplements into their formula to create the flavor they are looking for.
